Your Schadenfreude NFL/Niner Report
The beat goes on! Despite a 33- 10 loss to the Eagles today, the Niners were not able to take complete control of the basement. The Browns traveled all the way to England to maintain their 0-8 tie with the hapless Niners for last place.

Letter to My Dead Tree Paper
There was an editorial in today's dead tree paper by Reuben Navarrette. You may have seen him on Fox where he is a sometime (empty headed) contributor. I'll link to his editorial when they post the column online. This was my response:
Reuben Navarrette: "Conservatives hate it when people toss around the word "racist" to end an argument when they seemingly don't have anything else to say" ...said no conservative ever! Aside from his infantile painting conservatives with a broad brush, my experience, and that of conservatives I know, is that we hate it when our liberal friends shout "racist" when they have nothing else to say. Reuben has more projection than a multiplex!
Then he tells us of his other "assumptions". You know what they say about the word "assume". What conservatives don't like, aside from the baseless slurs, is a devaluation of the language. If everything is "racist", then nothing is racist. Racist is a powerful word that denotes a terribly ignorant and sometimes violent mindset. Using it inappropriately or trivially or, in my experience, as most liberals do when they run out of arguments, cheapens the word and makes it less effective when referring to those who actually are.
I don't know if Mr. Navarrette is actually confused over the word or is merely trying the old liberal "accuse your opponents of the things you are actually doing". Worked pretty well up 'til now for Hillary's RussiaGate.
Conservatives are tired of having to defend themselves against baseless charges of racism. I have often said that there is a special place in Hell for people who falsely accuse others of being racist. It is character assassination and promotes racial strife.
I am not sure what poppy field may have inspired Navarrette to imagine that conservatives want a "monopoly" on any words at all. We'd just like for you to use them correctly.
As to Tucker Carlson, as far as I can tell, is doing what Rush Limbaugh used to say was 'illustrating absurdity by being absurd'. Often when Carlson says something is "racist", he's doing it tongue in cheek, using the same (erroneous) standard that liberals have used for years. In other words, (pay attention here Reuben, this has obviously gone over your head), he is pressing his liberals guest to admit that what he is calling racist, isn't, and therefore by extension, what they have been calling racist isn't either.
Seen in that light, conservatives like Carlson are not trying to get a monopoly on "racism", but to dismantle the monopoly that exists on the Left, by pointing out the absurdity of their ineffectual arguments.

What Difference A "D" Makes
Let's set the Way Back machine for 2009. Remember 2009? We had a new President and First Lady in the White House, and repeatedly, continually, the press, commentators and ladies' magazines were all gushing about...the First Lady's well toned arms! Google "First Lady's toned arms 2009" for about 2,650,000 results. Like CNN...
Now, I've seen a workout video Michelle did that was pretty impressive. She could certainly beat up that wimpy husband of hers with one hand tied behind her back! But, where are those people now? The ones who gushed and slobbered all over Michelle's arms? Does not the current First Lady have "toned arms"? Legs? Tummy? Everything?? Face it. Melania Trump is the most beautiful First Lady in the entire history of the United States. Don't you think at least one of those toned arm gushers might find something similar to say about her?
She's gorgeous. She speaks six languages, though some reporters who are less than fluent in one, complain about or make fun of her accent. She's been criticized for the shoes she wore, walking from the White House to a waiting helicopter to travel to visit hurricane victims. While it is true that some faulted her predecessor for the tone deafness of wearing $600 sneakers to help out in a food bank, the circumstances were wildly different.
Face it. Nancy Reagan was pretty. Jackie Kennedy was elegant. Hillary Clinton didn't scare too many children, but Melania is a knockout. Could you guys out there in the MSM cut her a little slack. As the old commercial used to say, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful". And don't hate her as a means of trying to bring down her husband, with whom you disagree. That's disgusting and should be beneath you.
BTW, if the post headline didn't immediately have Dinah Washington running through your head, shame on you. Remedy to follow...

Democrats' Schiff Into Damage Control
"This investigation is starting again, for political purposes. This is another investigation of Hillary Clinton, long after she's no longer a presidential candidate, no longer the Secretary of State, apparently there's more interest in what happened seven years ago with Secretary Clinton than there is in the (phony Trump) investigation. Let me get this straight...last year, month after month, Democrats like yourself told us over and over and over again that the ONLY reason Republicans and conservatives were asking for accountability for Mrs. Clinton, was purely political, "to defeat her in November". Remember that? Apparently not. Now you're telling us that it's not to defeat her, since dear old granny Clinton is no longer Sec State or a political candidate?
If by "design", you mean "actual evidence of wrongdoing", then yes, it's by design. And there's far more actual evidence of the Clinton campaign and Clinton and Obama cronies colluding with the Russians than there ever was about Trump. The "dossier" which started the whole "Trump collusion" baloney was apparently bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign and possibly elements of the corrupt Obama administration.
There is also an informant, who has been under wraps since 2009 (for you math impaired liberals, that is LONG before Trump ever announced his run for the presidency), with information about Russian bribery, corruption and collusion with Secretary Clinton and the Obama administration over obtaining US uranium, which through the neglect, incompetence and/or criminal collusion of Hillary and the Obama administration, Russia eventually obtained.
BTW, someone should put this informant on a "suicide" watch, as people who have dirt on Hillary or the Clintons apparently tend to become suicidally depressed.
Dear Adam Schiff, bless his heart, is trying to argue the opposite of what Democrats were bleating all throughout 2016. Why then, according to the brightest minds of Democrats (stop laughing!) would the accusations continue after the election, unless there really was something of substance to cover up, as perhaps witnessed by the largest sudden destruction of smart phones and computer hard drives in recorded history?
The Democrats hitched their wagon to the colossally corrupt Clintons, with all their tremendously famous ethical shortcomings, and are in full damage control mode trying to staunch the bleeding.
The ship is sinking. Tell everyone how shocked, SHOCKED you are over the Clintons' corruption, then head for the lifeboats.

Medal of Honor
Captain Gary Michael Rose
Citation:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity, at the risk of his life, above and beyond the call of duty, (then) Sergeant Gary M. Rose distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity while serving as a Special Forces Medic with a company sized exploitation force Special Operations Augmentation, Command and Control Central, Fifth Special Forces Group Airborne, 1st Special Forces Republic of Viet Nam. Between 11 and 14 September 1970, Sgt. Rose's company was continuously engaged by a well armed and numerically superior hostile force deep in enemy controlled territory. Enemy B-40 rockets and mortar rounds rained down while the adversary sprayed the area with small arms and machine gun fire, wounding many and forcing everyone to seek cover.
Sgt. Rose, braving the hail of bullets, sprinted 50 meters to a wounded soldier's side. He then used his own body to protect the casualty from further injury while treating his wounds. After stabilizing the casualty, Sgt. Rose carried him through the bullet ridden combat zone to protective cover. As the enemy accelerated the attack, Sgt. Rose continuously exposed himself to intense fire as he fearlessly moved from casualty to casualty administering life saving aid. A B-40 rocket impacted just meters from Sgt. Rose, knocking him from his feet and injuring his head, hand and foot. Ignoring his wounds, Sgt. Rose struggled to his feet and continued to render aid to the other injured soldiers.
During an attempted medevac, Sgt. Rose again exposed himself to enemy fire, as he attempted to hoist wounded personnel up to the hovering helicopter which was unable to land due to unsuitable terrain. The medevac mission was aborted due to intense enemy fire and the helicopter crashed a few miles away due to the enemy fire sustained during the attempted extraction.
Over the next two days Sgt. Rose continued to expose himself to enemy fire in order to treat the wounded, estimated to be half of the company's personnel. On September 14th, during the company's eventual helicopter extraction, the enemy launched a full scale offensive. Sgt. Rose, after loading wounded personnel on the first set of extraction helicopters, returned to the outer perimeter under enemy fire, carrying friendly causalities and moving wounded personnel to more secure positions until they could be evacuated.
He then returned to the perimeter to help repel the enemy, until the final extraction helicopter had arrived. As the final helicopter was loaded, the enemy began to overrun the company's position and the helicopter's Marine door gunner was shot in the neck. Sgt. Rose instantly administered critical medical treatment on board the helicopter, saving the Marine's life. The helicopter carrying Sgt. Rose crashed several hundred meters from the extraction point, further injuring Sgt. Rose and the personnel on board. Despite his numerous wounds from the past three days, Sgt. Rose continued to pull and carry unconscious and wounded personnel out of the burning wreckage and continued to administer aid to the wounded until another extraction helicopter arrived.
Sgt. Rose's extraordinary heroism and selflessness above and beyond the call of duty, were critical to saving numerous lives over that four day time period. His actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the 1st. Special Forces and the United States Army.
Captain Rose: We humbly salute you and thank you for your service.
